About
Gubbins is a friendly puzzle game where players place tiles to construct words, with the help and hindrance of wildcard modifiers called Gubbins. I bought the game because, after initially deleting it, I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. I enjoy it, but I wish there was an infinite play mode where you only lose if the board is completely full with no more playable words, or something similar.

Really not a fan of the free limitation of one game per day. It would be nice if there was SOME mode I could play freely. I don't want to pay until I have more experience with the game, and I can't experience it more unless I pay... kind of a paradox there.

pretty fun!! enjoyable to try and fill up the screen and then satisfying to clear all of the letters. the gubbin that turns all of t he single letters into a word should be better, though.

Love it love it love it all! Not a single thing to complain about--wish I could give it 6 stars! Graphics are lovely, the game itself is engaging and brings me back everyday, the image maker is fun, and Hank Green recommended it :-) Great job, gal and guys!

A lot of heart and soul went into making this game, and it shows. The art style and background music are both fun and comforting, and attention to detail is evident all throughout. The gameplay itself is simultaneously engaging and relaxing. I can't possibly recommend this game enough.

So peaceful and good for your brain! The basic point is to just make words using the letters in your draw pile, plus what the game adds to the board. Love the music, love the atmosphere, fun art, and gameplay. It's fun to collect new animated good and bad things that can influence your name, backgrounds, and so forth. A great, calm experience to have every day.

Well worth the infinite-play fiver. Great fun, an innovative tale on wordsearches, crosswords and anagram games. Surprising how many layers there are once you get used to the rules. Can be addictive, too. Only criticism: still quite buggy, which is not surprising because the game does quite a lot, often at once. It's actually surprising it's not more buggy. Hopefully minor kinks ironed out in future updates. Bravo, Folly Studio!

First time playing and I already love this game! The art style is easy on the eyes. I have never seen such a unique game with beautiful colors and cute little characters. The animation is quite lovely. This is a feel good kind of game, you can see the effort and love put into it! I like that it has a limited amount of plays, it encourages me to play again tomorrow. I can't express how much I appreciate the little details and adorable sounds. 😋 I will definitely show this to my friends!

Terrible. The quality of the game is good, but that joy is taken away when you realize you can only play one short game a day. It's a price of $6 just to get the base game and $15 per extra pack and such. I'm uninstalling to save space on my phone. Save yourself the disappointment, don't download it.

The game is very chill and fun. As a casual player, I don't mind the one free game per day thing, but what does annoy me is that the game is crashing constantly.

Good word game with some issues. FYI, you do need to pay to unlock most modes. My main problem: Gubbins' dictionary doesn't line up with any commonly used word lists, and there is no way to look up words in-app. There are some valid words that just seem to be random strings, like "ghss". Many 2 and 3 letter words that are valid in NWL/CSW (Scrabble dicts) are not valid in Gubbins. Some proper nouns are okay, but not all. Same with acronyms. More transparency here would be helpful.
